BRAMPTON
City of Brampton and Peel District School Board break ground on Turner Fenton Cricket Pitch

October 31, 2023

On October 17, the City of Brampton and Peel District School Board (PDSB) broke ground on the new Turner Fenton Cricket Pitch. This is one of several projects the City of Brampton and Peel District School Board have partnered on this year.

The new, fully lit facility will feature artificial turf wickets and player pavilions. This pitch will be available for use for both the students at Turner Fenton Secondary School as well as the public. Outside of school hours, the City will have priority access and opportunities to rent the pitch to community sports groups.

Through the City of Brampton and Peel District School Board's collaborative work to revitalize this space, the facility will provide additional opportunities for Brampton residents to utilize the pitch and enjoy a sport they love.

Sports are an integral part of healthy and active communities that enable and nurture talent, teamwork and the celebration of a shared passion. The City is committed to increasing access to spaces and programming across Brampton for residents.
